ChangeNOW fees: the commission and the withdrawal fee
Commission. ChangeNOW publishes no percentage. Its terms say its remuneration is included in the final rate, and its homepage repeats that every fee is already inside the rate you see. That is a fair way to price; it simply means the number worth comparing is what arrives, not a headline commission.
Withdrawal fee. Sending your coins costs a network fee, and ChangeNOW charges for it without a fee table: its FAQ says the fees vary with the currency and the amount and are counted into the estimate. Cambio’s quote states its network fee as a line of its own. The table puts the two side by side on a USDT payout on Tron and on a bitcoin payout; ChangeNOW’s column there is our estimate of the fixed part of its price, fitted from checks of its website and labelled as such.

When ChangeNOW is the better choice
- You want an app. ChangeNOW publishes apps for iOS, Android and macOS on its About page. Cambio runs in the browser only.
- You want to lock a rate for one order. Its fixed rate holds from the start of the exchange (FAQ; Terms §2.2–2.3). Cambio quotes a single rate with no fixed option.
- Your coin is one Cambio does not carry. ChangeNOW says it lists more than a thousand coins. The two catalogues overlap without matching, and Cambio tells you before you send if a route is not offered.
- A small bitcoin payout. In our hand-run study of changenow.io, the checks where ChangeNOW gave more were small bitcoin payouts. Compare both on the day.
- A very large swap. At the $5,000 size our checker reads, we hold no Cambio quote from the same hour, so this page makes no claim there.
- You hold ChangeNOW Pro. Our checks run as an anonymous visitor with no cashback or loyalty tier, so a member can receive more than the figures here.
When Cambio is the better choice
- The routes where Cambio’s quote sent more. In the same-time pairs above that was USDT (BNB Smart Chain) → LTC, BTC → USDT (Ethereum), SOL → USDC (Solana), USDC (BNB Smart Chain) → BNB, SOL → XRP, SOL → USDT (Arbitrum), SOL → USDT (Ethereum) and SOL → BNB; they span hours, so read them as a snapshot rather than a rule.
- You want the network fee on its own line. Cambio’s quote states it before you commit, so the fee is not something you have to infer from the rate.
- You would rather type the swap. Write it as a sentence; there is no account to open and no form to fill.
Is ChangeNOW safe?
ChangeNOW has operated since 2017 and keeps no balance for you. Each swap is one order: you send to a deposit address it issues and it pays to the address you give, so there is no stored balance to lose. It is run by CHN Group LLC of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (Terms §1.2 and §15).
It screens transactions and is plain about what happens when a check fires. If its risk system marks one suspicious, the exchange is put on hold and you are asked to confirm your identity; decline, and it refunds to the sending address within 24 hours, less network fees, and may blacklist that address (KYC FAQ). Its terms require identity verification before any use for residents of the EU and eight other countries (§3.2), and its AML policy lists further triggers, such as reports of stolen funds. Verification runs through SumSub.
The advice is the same on any exchange of this kind: send from a wallet you control, and keep the transaction ID until the payout arrives.
On Cambio it works differently: Your deposit goes to the one-time address shown for your order, and the selected execution route sends the payout to the destination wallet you provide. No account or stored balance is created.

Does ChangeNOW require KYC?
Not for an ordinary swap. Its terms require identity verification before use for residents of the EU, the USA, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, the UAE, Australia and Canada (§3.2); anyone else is asked only when its risk system flags a transaction.
